The Cyber Helpline is officially a charity!
We are very proud to announce our registration with the Charity Commission, marking a hugely important new chapter for The Cyber Helpline.
The demand for funds nationally is growing at an alarming rate and the requirement for increased fundraising for The Cyber Helpline has never been as important than it is right now for us.
The confirmation of our registration at the Charity Commission has come at just the right time, it will open so many doors to us and it means that we can now join well known fundraising sites that require us to have a Charity Commission number. Previously we had been operating as a not-for-profit.
Many large corporations have offered their support in the past, but sadly have had very strict rules about the charities they support, so this news will mean that we can welcome support from anyone, any business large or small, kind enough to offer their help and support.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported and donated so far to help us get this far, but also a huge thank you to all of our volunteers as this cannot happen without you.
It has not been easy building The Cyber Helpline, but with this exciting news we hope that we can support as many victims of cybercrime & online harm as possible across the UK.
