Fundraise for Cybercrime Victims
One way you can help support The Cyber Helpline is to start or collaborate on a fundraising initiative, or donate to an existing fundraiser.
Start a Fundraiser for The Cyber Helpline
1. Decide how you want to fundraise: Fundraising can take many forms. If you fancy a physical challenge, you might want to organise a sponsored hike, run, or cycle. You could host a bake sale, a charity auction, a gaming live stream, or a music event. The sky really is the limit!
2. Get set up on JustGiving: Head over to our charity page in JustGiving, our fundraising platform, click ‘Start Fundraising’, create an account, and follow the steps. On your page you should include a title and description that details what your fundraiser is for, and how you intend to raise the money. You can also include your financial goal here.
3. Share your cause: What you’re doing for The Cyber Helpline is amazing, and you should definitely shout about it! Send your JustGiving page to friends and family, and share it on social media to increase your chance of donations. We will use our platform to help you hit your target.
Donate to an Existing Fundraiser
Not everyone is in a position to set up a fundraiser, and that is absolutely okay. We are thrilled you are interested in seeing how you could help, and this might be the avenue for you. From time to time, you will see a list of live fundraisers that are happening in the UK and US right now. Here, you can choose to donate to a person or organisation of your choice to help them reach their financial target.
